Jamalabad(Gadaikallu)

April 11,2013 : I  and my brother decided to visit this place. Both of us were going for the first time.Since I borne and brought up in the same locality, route to this place was familiar.

  • Distance: 320 km from Bangalore.
  • Difficulty Level: Easy to Medium
  • Time Upwards: 1 hour with 5-6 breaks
  • Time to comedown: 45 min with 2-3 breaks
  • Best Season: Through out the year except rainy season.
  • Things to do: Trekking, Scenery of wide open area.
  • Suggestions: Don't forget to take plenty of water or cold drinks. There are no shops once start going up.

This place could be covered in half day without much difficulty. If you are coming to Dharmastala,Kukke Subrahmanya, you could probably plan for this place. Very much on the way to Mangalore,Karnataka from the Dharmastala or Kukke Subrahmanya. Best time to climbing up is between morning 6am to 10am. Once Sun is on our head, the rocks over here gets heated up.

Once we reach,we just parked our bike just near the entrance. There is no parking place as such.We had to get registered our names in the entrance with address and mobile number. If girls are present, every one need to provide their any of National ID proofs for security.Going up was not that difficult as there were stairs made out of rocks in most of our way.We had to take many pit-stops to get recharged. As we move up we could see fantastic beauty of nature.

Nokia 1110i quickview

This is an iconic phone. Nokia 1110i does not require introduction. It ruled basic phone segment in India. Though it does not have many options it is meant for tough use. With the smart phone entry these kind phones hardly available at the market.

Shivagange Hills

Shivagange Hills, was one of my “To Visit” places. Even though I am in Bangalore from few years, I never visited this place. I and my friend decided to go on our motorcycles early morning of 12th April 2015. Though we wanted to start 5 am, we started at 5.30 am (IPL fever, previous night RCB match! )
